From my job, to my social life, to my pathetic attempts at kick-starting careers, I realise now that I am not perfect.

Not even close.

I’m glad I realised this now before I hurt another person or let myself down by utilising the model, “Near enough is good enough.”

My last relationship failed because of that.

My last job failed because of that.

My grades at school and now Uni weren’t/aren’t as good as they could be because of that.

My last writing gig failed because of that.

This isn’t an attempt at self-pity, or trying to fish for compliments. It’s merely a wake-up call to become more than what I am.

Possibly the most brilliant thing I have ever seen.
